Our Pen Repair Service

We offer a professional repair service on a limited number of pens. For our list and services we provide, please see below.

For most pens we offer a "Full Service" which includes stripping the pen down, ultrasonic cleaning of the component parts, fitting new sacs and pressure bars as required, reassembly and light polish to finish. Here's a full list of the process:-

Step 1 - If you would like your pen repaired - please email us with a photo of your pen, stating any issues and what service you require.

Step 2 - We will provide an estimate by email.

Step 3 - If you are happy, please post the pen to us.

Step 4 - Once received we will prepare a Condition Statement - Including any major cracks or scratches. This will be sent to you before we start work.

Step 5 - We will strip the pen down to it's component parts and ultrasonically clean those parts requiring a deep clean.

Step 6 - All working parts will be tested and replaced as required - this is not always possible as parts might not be available for older pens. Sometimes we can canibalise one of our parts pens, but again this is not always possible.

Step 7 - We will reassemble and give the pen a light polish if required.

Step 8 - We will test the pen and then post the pen back to you.

Full Service, Sac & Diaphragm Replacement.

Prices:-

Service only = £15

Sac Replacement = Add £7.50

Pressure Bars = Add £7.50

Vacumatic Diaphragm Replacement = Add £10 (This is difficult process)

Other parts will be quoted direct to you before repair takes place.

Return postage & packaging costs £5.

Disclaimer

Most early pens are made of Hard Rubber or Celluloid, which can become extremely brittle with age. Sadly with the best care in the world, repairing such pens can result in damage beyond repair. If this happens we will inform you immediately and try to source replacement parts, but this is not always possible.
